Thirty Seconds To Mars at a Chicago Cubs Game

This Week – 04/21/2010

Into The Wild continues through the United States with stops in Illinois—where the Band joined Chicago’s own Cubs for first-pitch throws—as well as in Michigan and Massachusetts, crossing the border for a pause in Toronto, Canada. Tonight, the Band will play a SOLD OUT venue in New York before proceeding to New Jersey for a very special show!

Thirty Seconds To Mars is joined by Neon Trees and Mutemath, as well as Street Drum Corps on selected dates throughout the duration of the Into The Wild tour. Take a peek at the busy week ahead—MARS is coming to a state near you. Are you ready?

Book of the Week

WeaveworldWeavworld by Clive Barker is a novel by Clive Barker published in 1987 that deals with a parallel world, and like many of Barker’s novels, contains many horror elements. The novel revolves around the world of the Fugue, a magical world which lies woven within a rug. Decades later, a sudden interest emerges for the rug at the time an elderly expires—Calhoun Mooney, an ordinary young man, accidentally comes into contact with the rug and realizes its magical nature.

Movie of the Week

From BeyondFrom Beyond is a 1986 American sci-fi/body horror film directed by Stuart Gordon, loosely based on the short story of the same title by H. P. Lovecraft. Centering around a pair of scientists attempting to stimulate the pineal gland with a device called The Resonator, an unforeseen result of their experiments leads creatures from another dimension to drag the head scientist into their world, who then returns as a grotesque shape-changing monster and preys upon the others at the laboratory.

Album of the Week

Jonsi - GoJónsi – Go
The guitarist and vocalist of the Icelandic  post-rock band Sigur Rós, Jónsi is known for his use of a cello bow on guitar and falsetto  voice. The first solo endeavor for the frontman, Go contains nine songs performed in English and Icelandic, amassed from the large pool of songs written by Jónsi during his many years with Sigur Rós.
