Democracy DayOn March 23 Rock the Vote and the National Education Association are proud to announce the first-ever annual Democracy Day, a national effort to promote civics education in high schools. Democracy Day will also celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the 26th Amendment, which gave 18 year olds the right to vote.

Democracy Day is an opportunity for Rock the Vote to bring it’s innovative Democracy Class program to hundreds of high schools around the country. Democracy Class is a non-partisan 45-minute lesson that combines pop culture, music, video, classroom discussion and a mock election to teach juniors and seniors in high school about their right to vote.
